Salasar Techno Engineering Limited, a prominent EPC company in India’s power transmission and infrastructure space, has secured a ₹232-crore turnkey transmission line project from Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited (UPPTCL). The project is supported through international funding from KfW, Germany’s state-owned development bank, highlighting Salasar’s growing contribution to strengthening high-voltage transmission infrastructure and socio-economic development in the region.
Awarded in November 2025, the project involves end-to-end execution, including engineering, detailed design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 400 kV DC Twin Moose transmission line between Banda and Chitrakoot, covering nearly 130 kilometres. The new line is expected to enhance grid reliability and operational stability, lower transmission losses, and meet rising electricity demand driven by industrial growth and rapid urban development across Uttar Pradesh.
