RR Kabel Limited has introduced a new range of electrical wires designed to address the changing requirements of modern homes and infrastructure, where higher ambient temperatures, increased power consumption, and stricter safety expectations are becoming more common. The newly launched products include Superex Green HR+FR and Firex LS0H-EBXL wires, developed for applications that demand higher performance, durability, and safety.
The new range has been engineered to support heavier electrical loads while maintaining consistent performance under elevated temperature conditions. RR Kabel’s development efforts focused on improving heat tolerance, electrical efficiency, and long-term reliability, while also addressing environmental and safety considerations. Both products are manufactured using 100 percent pure electrolytic copper to ensure stable conductivity and reduced energy losses over time.
Superex Green HR+FR wire is designed to operate at temperatures of up to 85 degrees Celsius and complies with REACH and RoHS standards, eliminating a wide range of regulated substances. The wire incorporates a Class 2 conductor design for improved mechanical strength and includes protection against pests to enhance durability in residential and commercial installations. Its packaging has been designed to reflect the product’s environmental positioning.
Firex LS0H-EBXL wire has been developed for environments where fire safety is critical. Using Electron Beam Cross-Linking technology and low smoke zero halogen insulation, the wire can carry significantly higher electrical loads compared to standard PVC wires and withstand extreme temperatures without melting. In the event of a fire, the insulation emits minimal, non-toxic smoke, helping maintain visibility and support evacuation. The wire is designed for flexibility during installation and offers an extended service life, along with protection against rodents and termites.
Commenting on the launch, Rajesh Kabra, Executive Director of RR Kabel, said the new products are intended to meet future requirements arising from climate conditions, higher electrical demand, and the need for safer building infrastructure.
