Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has officially introduced the Spectre in the Indian market, marking the British luxury automaker’s debut in the realm of all-electric vehicles (EVs). With a price tag of Rs 7.5 crore (ex-showroom), the Spectre holds the distinction of being the most expensive electric vehicle in the country.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, one of the pinnacles of automotive luxury, epitomizes elegance and craftsmanship. Founded in 1904, this iconic British marque has consistently set the standard for opulent motoring. Known for its meticulously handcrafted vehicles, Rolls-Royce caters to the elite seeking the epitome of exclusivity.
The Spectre, Rolls-Royce’s latest addition, emerges as a two-door coupe, contributing into the realm of electric mobility for the brand, charting a course toward achieving an entirely electric fleet by the target year of 2030. Propelled by an advanced 102 kWh battery pack, this vehicle delivers the range of 530 kilometers on a lone charge, as per the rigorous WLTP Cycle standards.
The coupe is fortified with a dual-motor configuration, yielding a 577 brake horsepower and a formidable 900 Newton-meters of peak torque. These power figures seamlessly translate into a swift acceleration capability, propelling the Spectre from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in a mere 4.5 seconds, defying expectations even in the face of its substantial weight, tipping the scales at 2,890 kilograms.
Yadur Kapur, the Dealer Principal at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars New Delhi, has conveyed his enthusiasm regarding the introduction of the Spectre model in North India, highlighting its alignment with the preferences of an expanding, youthful, and enterprising customer demographic.
Mr Kapur further states that as an integral part of the Architecture of Luxury, the Spectre shares its advanced all-aluminium spaceframe with other distinguished Rolls-Royce models such as the Phantom, Ghost, and Cullinan. Its design pays homage to classic Rolls aesthetics, featuring a gracefully sloping roofline, distinctive split headlamps, and a shoulder line drawing inspiration from the sleek contours of yachts.
Upon entering the Spectre, one might experience luxury, with the Starlight liner seamlessly integrated into the door pads and the roof. A spectacle ensues as over 5,500 star-like illuminations come to life, arranged to form the resplendent and illuminated Spectre nameplate on the dashboard.
