Bonding their relations stronger, Renishaw partners with Hurco to showcase their latest innovations along with Hurco and Takumi machines, in the Open House 2022 schedule on 15th and 16th this month at Hurco’s new technology centre at Chinchwad, Pune. Renishaw has been trading in India for over 40 years, established a wholly-owned trading subsidiary in 2000, and now the company has offices in five cities, plus resident sales engineers in other key areas.
In Pune, Renishaw has an 80,000 sq ft building which houses customer demonstration and training facilities, a procurement operation to directly source high-quality components from Indian vendors, a large software development team, and a 100% Export Orientated Unit (EOU) which manufactures certain products that were previously procured and where assembly costs are critical to competitiveness.
Renishaw offers a range of process control solutions that help tackle the increasing drive to lean manufacturing, from new technologies for pre-process machine calibration, to on-line and offline post-process measurement. “We’re an extremely broad-based business, working across most major industrial sectors. It’s the crucial experience that informs our product development and allows us to address almost every major challenge in industrial metrology”, says Sanjay Sangam, Country Head – Sales & Marketing, Renishaw India.
Renishaw will be introducing their latest innovation NC4+ Blue, high accuracy laser tool setting systems, at the HURCO TAKUMI Open House 2022. Featuring industry-first blue laser technology and improved optics, Renishaw's NC4+ Blue systems are available with an operating gap of up to 240 mm and deliver a step-change in tool measurement accuracy, proven to industrial standards. NC4 non-contact tool setters provide high-precision, high-speed tool measurement and broken tool detection, allowing process control on all sizes and types of machine tools.
“We are demonstrating our Primo™, the Primo system is the first all-in-one package for part setting and tool setting specifically aimed at machine tool users who are new to probing. It offers a simple path to the many benefits of using probes in machining processes”, shared Rahul Desale, Marketing and Communication Manager of Renishaw India.
Easy to install and use, the new system represents a low initial outlay, yet retains Renishaw’s proven quality. Primo hardware has been designed and manufactured to the same market-leading standards as all Renishaw products; achieving repeatability of 1µm 2σ to deliver consistent and accurate performance.
We also have an OMP600 high-accuracy machine probe on demo at one of the Hurco machines. The OMP600 is a compact, high-accuracy touch probe that offers all the benefits of automated job set-up as well as the ability to measure complex 3D part geometries on CNC machining centres, including multi-tasking machines.
“Last but not least we have our Equator 300 Gauging system on display. It is a flexible gauge, designed to provide speed, repeatability, and ease of use for manual or automated applications”, adds Rahul. At the open house, participants can have a look at the various range of solutions offered by Renishaw designed to improve the manufacturing processes by automation in component set-up, tool set-up, in-cycle gauging & first-off inspection of parts with automatic offset updates on the machine.
“Along with the patented RENGAGE™ strain gauge technology & in line with the latest innovation for Industry 4.0, participants will experience our latest software’s designed to provide ease of use to the operators to make programs & see reports on display”, said Rahul.
Over the year Hurco and Renishaw have shared a strong bond. “We are glad to be part of this open house at Hurco’s new facility. The unmatched platform created by Hurco to provide the latest tech updates and showcase the range of manufacturing solutions is well appreciated by the industry. It takes a lot of effort to arrange this size of the event and ensure a good footfall. We wish them all the best & look forward to a successful show”, concluded Rahul Desale.
