Renault India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group, has launched the all-new Renault Duster in the Indian market, with prices for the turbo petrol variant starting at ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Nationwide dispatches have commenced, marking the return of one of India’s most recognisable SUV nameplates in a new-generation avatar.
Built on the Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP), the new Duster has been engineered with a focus on structural strength, efficiency, and adaptability. Designed to meet Indian driving conditions, the SUV combines robust proportions with high ground clearance and strong approach and departure angles, reinforcing its capability across both urban and off-road environments.
Powering the new Duster is the Turbo TCe 160 engine, delivering 163 PS and 280 Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed wet-clutch dual-clutch automatic. The vehicle’s ride, handling, steering, and braking performance have been validated by global testing agency IDIADA, ensuring stability and comfort across diverse road conditions.
Inside, the SUV features a driver-centric cabin with enhanced ergonomics, improved visibility, and premium comfort. The OpenR Link multimedia system integrates Google Automotive Services, offering seamless access to navigation, voice assistance, and apps.
The new Duster is available in five variants—Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+, and Iconic—catering to a wide range of customer preferences. Key features across the lineup include full LED lighting, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a 360-degree camera. A special launch edition with distinctive design elements will also be offered.
Renault has introduced an introductory price of ₹10.29 lakh under its R-Pass pre-booking programme, valid until March 31, 2026. Flexible ownership options, including subscription plans and a 7-year warranty package, are also being offered to enhance customer convenience and long-term value.
Early demand has been strong, with the Turbo TCe 160 accounting for over 90 percent of petrol bookings. The company also confirmed strong interest in the E-Tech hybrid variant, which combines a 1.8-litre engine with a 1.4 kWh battery, enabling a high proportion of electric driving in city conditions. Hybrid bookings in key metro markets have already seen significant traction.
Francisco Hidalgo, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Renault India, said the new Duster has been developed to deliver performance, durability, and everyday usability tailored to Indian customers. He added that the combination of advanced engineering, flexible ownership models, and enhanced features positions the SUV strongly in its segment.
Manufactured at Renault’s facility in Oragadam, Chennai, the new Duster will be supported by the company’s extensive nationwide sales and service network. Renault India Private Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Renault SAS, France. The company manufactures vehicles in its Oragadam facility near Chennai, which has an annual capacity of 480,000 units.
