Rangsons Aerospace (RAPL) and Oversat are set to sign a key collaboration at Aero India 2025, focusing on advancing satellite communication (Satcom) technologies. The partnership aims to develop Luneberg lens-based multibeam antennas, sophisticated systems designed to track multiple Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites at once, addressing connectivity challenges in Maritime, Land Mobile, and Aero sectors.

With the global launch of LEO satellite constellations by companies such as OneWeb, SpaceX, Telesat, Rivada, and Amazon, the demand for modern ground-based infrastructure has significantly increased. Although LEO satellites provide cost-effective, low-latency, high-capacity communication compared to traditional Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO) satellites, current ground antenna systems remain inefficient, relying on outdated and bulky parabolic designs that hinder Satcom expansion.

To tackle this issue, Rangsons Aerospace and Oversat are developing cutting-edge multibeam antenna technology, offering real-time connectivity across multiple satellites. This innovation is expected to enhance Satcom capabilities for various industries, including defense, aviation, and commercial sectors.

Pavan Ranga, Managing Director of Rangsons Aerospace, said, “As satellite communication evolves, the need for modern, scalable ground infrastructure has never been more pressing. Our collaboration with Oversat aims to close this gap by providing seamless, high-speed connectivity across multiple industries. Technologies like multibeam antennas are not just addressing current issues but are helping to shape the future of Satcom, making it more efficient, robust, and accessible. At Aero India 2025, we are excited to show how Rangsons Aerospace is contributing to this transformation.”

In addition to the partnership announcement, Rangsons Aerospace will showcase its advanced capabilities in Avionics, Electronic Warfare (EW) PODS, and Airborne Thermal Management. The company will also present its High-Speed Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint High-Capacity Networked Data Links, as well as SATCOM-on-the-move (SOTM) solutions operating in Ku and Ka-bands, designed for both defense and commercial use.

Aero India 2025 visitors will have the opportunity to see these innovations firsthand at Hall H, where Rangsons Aerospace will display its latest developments, highlighting its dedication to advancing aerospace and defense technologies. Rangsons, part of the NR Group, is a diversified conglomerate headquartered in Mysuru, India, with operations spanning Defense, Aerospace, Education, Infrastructure, Agriculture, and Healthcare.

The company partners with prominent organizations, including ISRO, Boeing, and the Indian Defense and Aerospace sectors, while remaining focused on using technology to address key challenges faced by emerging economies. Its flagship entity, N. Ranga Rao & Sons, is a leader in the Indian incense industry, recognized for its Cycle Pure Agarbathi brand.
