Quectel Wireless Solutions has announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Syrma SGS Technology Ltd to include local manufacturing of IoT antennas in India. The move strengthens Quectel’s regional supply chain capabilities and reinforces its commitment to supporting the country’s rapidly growing IoT ecosystem.
The collaboration builds on an existing partnership between the two companies for the production of IoT modules and represents a significant step toward deeper localization. By extending manufacturing capabilities to include antennas, Quectel aims to enhance flexibility, scalability, and responsiveness to customer requirements across industries.
India continues to emerge as a key global hub for electronics manufacturing, supported by strong domestic demand, a skilled workforce, and a favorable policy environment. By scaling local production, Quectel is positioning itself to better serve customers in India while improving supply chain resilience and reducing dependency on global logistics networks.
Dinesh Patkar, Regional Sales Director for India at Quectel, said the expansion is a critical step in building a robust local IoT ecosystem. He noted that localized manufacturing enables faster delivery timelines, improved supply stability, and solutions that are better aligned with local market requirements, ultimately helping customers accelerate product development and deployment.
The antennas will be manufactured at Syrma SGS’s facility in Manesar, which already produces a range of cellular, IoT, and GNSS modules for applications across telecom, automotive, and digital infrastructure initiatives. The addition of antenna manufacturing further strengthens the facility’s capabilities as a comprehensive production hub for connected technologies.
Sanjeev Kr Pandey, Vice President of Business Development at Syrma SGS Technology, highlighted that the partnership has steadily evolved to meet growing demand for locally manufactured connectivity solutions. He added that expanding into antenna production aligns with national initiatives to boost domestic manufacturing and supports the broader vision of building a self-reliant technology ecosystem.
The collaboration is expected to deliver tangible benefits for IoT customers, including shorter lead times, improved reliability, and enhanced customization for project-specific needs. Local manufacturing also ensures compliance with regional standards and enables closer technical collaboration between teams.
As part of its ongoing engagement with the Indian market, Quectel will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of IoT solutions at Electronica India in Greater Noida, including modules, antennas, and value-added services. With this expansion, Quectel continues to strengthen its position as a global leader in IoT innovation while supporting the development of a resilient and future-ready supply chain in India.
