Quantum Energy Ltd, an electric vehicle startup based in Hyderabad, has announced the expansion of its advanced manufacturing facility in Maheshwaram, near the proposed Future City. The new facility will not only enhance production capabilities but also create numerous job opportunities, helping Telangana further establish itself as a leader in clean and future-oriented industries.
Spanning over 2.4 lakh square feet, the expanded facility will have an annual production capacity of 2 lakh units. Designed to be a net-zero emissions site, the plant aligns with the growing demand for sustainable industrial infrastructure.
This expansion comes as Quantum Energy experiences increasing demand for its innovative electric two-wheelers, such as the Plasma, Milan, and Bziness models. The company is also preparing for the launch of new products that combine high performance with smart features tailored specifically for Indian roads and weather conditions.
Quantum Energy continues to focus on providing affordable, eco-friendly mobility solutions, with an emphasis on last-mile connectivity. As demand for sustainable transport grows, the company is developing pioneering solutions that aim to transform the entire two-wheeler market.
Commenting on the development, Chakravarthi Chukkapalli, Managing Director of Quantum Energy, stated, “The expansion of our Maheshwaram facility marks a key milestone in our growth. As India accelerates its shift to electric mobility, we are committed to delivering high-quality, energy-efficient two-wheelers that not only push the boundaries of technology but also protect the environment. This net-zero facility underscores our commitment to a cleaner future and a greener planet for our eco-conscious consumers.”
Telangana has been a hub for innovation, and we are proud to play a role in its growing leadership in the electric vehicle sector. Quantum Energy has a strong presence in South India and plans to expand across India, opening dealerships in Rajasthan, Delhi NCR, Bihar, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Jharkhand. The company aims to grow steadily, focusing on one market at a time. Quantum Energy is also planning a $10 million Series A funding round to expand its two-wheeler business in the passenger and cargo e-auto markets over the next 36 to 48 months.
