PTC Industries Limited has secured a major order from BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited for the development, integration and supply of a strategic missile sub-system for the BrahMos programme. The order marks a significant milestone for the company as it enters the field of systems-level integration for advanced defence platforms.
The contract represents PTC Industries’ first major order involving the integration of a complete strategic missile sub-system. It also expands the company’s role in the aerospace and defence sector from manufacturing precision components and advanced materials to delivering high-value integrated systems.
The order involves the development and integration of a critical structural assembly used in one of India’s key strategic missile programmes. While specific technical details have not been disclosed, the assembly is designed to operate under demanding structural, thermal and dynamic conditions associated with supersonic missile applications.
According to the company, the project requires advanced manufacturing capabilities, precision machining, specialised joining techniques, control assemblies, hermetic sealing, high-accuracy integration and rigorous quality inspections to ensure structural integrity, reliability and performance. PTC Industries said the award reflects BrahMos Aerospace’s confidence in the company’s engineering expertise, manufacturing capabilities and quality systems developed over several years.
The project also strengthens the company’s PTC ONEâ„¢ – From Melt to Missionâ„¢ manufacturing platform, which integrates advanced materials, titanium and superalloy production, precision investment castings, special processing, machining and now systems integration. With the addition of this capability, PTC is expanding beyond supplying individual components to delivering complete assemblies and mission-critical sub-systems for aerospace and defence applications.
Over the past few years, the company has invested significantly in building an integrated manufacturing ecosystem covering advanced materials, precision engineering, machining, specialised processes and assembly operations. These investments were aimed at enabling PTC to participate in a larger share of the aerospace and defence value chain.
Commenting on the development, Sachin Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of PTC Industries Limited, said the order represents a defining milestone in the company’s growth journey. He said the project marks PTC’s transition from a manufacturer of materials and precision components to a supplier of advanced systems and sub-systems for strategic defence programmes.
He added that the order validates the company’s long-term investment in integrated manufacturing capabilities and reflects the confidence placed in PTC by BrahMos Aerospace. The contract also opens new opportunities for future growth in high-value aerospace and defence programmes while strengthening India’s domestic manufacturing capabilities.
PTC Industries believes the project will enhance its position as an integrated manufacturing partner for India’s aerospace, defence, space and strategic sectors. As modern defence platforms require suppliers capable of delivering complete assemblies rather than individual parts, the company expects systems integration to become an important growth area.
The BrahMos order also supports India’s efforts to strengthen indigenous defence manufacturing by expanding local capabilities in advanced engineering, reducing dependence on imported technologies and building a stronger domestic supply chain for critical defence systems. The company said the project reinforces its commitment to supporting the country’s long-term self-reliance in aerospace and defence manufacturing.
With more than six decades of manufacturing experience, PTC Industries has steadily expanded its presence in high-performance engineering solutions for critical and super-critical applications. Along with Aerolloy Technologies, the company continues to strengthen its portfolio across titanium and superalloy castings, forgings, engineered materials and precision components, reinforcing its role in supporting India’s emergence as a global hub for advanced manufacturing and strategic materials.
