Percival Accelerates Product Development and Boosts Efficiency with Centric PLM

This rollout marks a major step forward for the brand, helping to simplify product development and unify data across departments.

Percival, best known for its modern take on classic menswear, has grown steadily since its founding a decade ago. With a presence in top retailers like Nordstrom, Liberty, and Brown Thomas, the brand produces seasonal collections and unique collaboration pieces throughout the year. Its expanding catalog—currently comprising several hundred SKUs—demanded a scalable system to support future growth.

Recognizing the need to streamline workflows and reduce reliance on manual processes, Percival adopted Centric PLM SMB, a cloud-based solution tailored for small to mid-sized fashion businesses. The platform is now being used by the company’s merchandising, design, and production teams.

According to Bell, the results were immediate. SKU and barcode creation now happens automatically, cutting product creation time in half. Purchase orders are also generated twice as fast, and errors linked to inconsistent data—such as pricing or labeling issues—have been significantly reduced.

Since the transition, day-to-day operations like product development, inventory intake, and PO management have become more efficient and cohesive. Bell notes that the team is now able to focus on higher-value work rather than being bogged down by admin tasks.

“Reducing manual input means we’re spending less time on data entry and more time making informed decisions,” Mr Bell said. “The system has improved accuracy and made team collaboration easier across the board.”

Percival initially ran a testing phase with Centric PLM before going live, allowing them to tailor the setup to fit their needs. Bell praised the support from Centric’s team, highlighting their adaptability and ongoing assistance throughout the implementation.
