Parameter and Rotork have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening operational reliability and risk management in liquid-cooled artificial intelligence data centers. The partnership combines advanced leak-detection technologies with automated valve-actuation systems to help operators rapidly identify, isolate and mitigate fluid leaks in high-density computing environments.

As artificial intelligence workloads continue to drive unprecedented growth in computing power requirements, data center operators are increasingly adopting liquid-cooling technologies to manage heat generated by next-generation servers and AI infrastructure. While liquid cooling offers significant thermal efficiency advantages, it also introduces new operational challenges related to fluid management and leak prevention.

The integrated solution developed by Parameter and Rotork addresses these concerns through a combination of continuous monitoring, real-time detection and automated response capabilities. Parameter’s sensing and monitoring technologies provide ongoing visibility into cooling systems, enabling the rapid identification of fluid leaks before they escalate into larger operational issues. Rotork’s electric valve actuators are designed to automatically isolate affected sections of the cooling network, helping contain incidents and minimize disruption.

The system supports isolation at multiple levels, including individual racks, rows and broader infrastructure segments. This flexibility allows operators to respond precisely to emerging issues while maintaining continuity across unaffected portions of the facility.

With AI-focused server racks frequently exceeding power densities of 100 kilowatts per rack, the importance of dependable liquid-cooling infrastructure has become increasingly evident. Operators are seeking solutions that not only improve thermal management but also safeguard uptime, protect critical equipment and reduce operational risk.

Mike Blazes, Chief Executive Officer of Parameter, noted that liquid cooling has become an essential component of modern AI infrastructure. He emphasized that combining highly sensitive leak detection with automated fluid isolation can significantly reduce the likelihood of widespread equipment damage and service interruptions.

Tony Vangasse, Head of Strategy, CPI at Rotork, stated that protecting facility uptime, assets and operational safety remains a top priority for data center operators. He added that integrating real-time monitoring with fast-response valve actuation enables organizations to respond more effectively when incidents occur, reducing risk while supporting reliable facility performance.

The collaboration is designed to meet the evolving requirements of hyperscale operators, colocation providers and enterprise data centers as they expand AI deployments and increase reliance on liquid-cooling technologies. By bringing together complementary expertise in sensing, monitoring and fluid control, Parameter and Rotork aim to provide data center operators with a comprehensive framework for managing cooling infrastructure, improving resilience and supporting the continued growth of AI-driven digital ecosystems.
