Oswal Pumps Limited has secured an order valued at ₹119.92 crore (inclusive of GST) from Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited (KREDL) under the PM-KUSUM B Scheme. The order involves the supply and installation of 3,263 off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems across various districts in Karnataka.
The scope of work includes the design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of solar pump systems in capacities of 3 HP, 5 HP, 7.5 HP, and 10 HP. The systems will be deployed at identified farmer locations to support irrigation needs using renewable energy.
The project is aimed at reducing farmers’ dependence on conventional power sources and diesel pumps, while promoting sustainable irrigation practices. It also supports broader national objectives to expand renewable energy use in the agricultural sector and improve rural energy access.
This order represents Oswal Pumps Limited’s first large-scale and comprehensive project in Karnataka. The company expects the project to strengthen its presence in the state and support further expansion in southern India. The order also reflects Oswal Pumps’ execution capabilities, in-house manufacturing strength, and established installation and after-sales service network.
Commenting on the development, Vivek Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of Oswal Pumps Limited, said the project marks an important milestone in the company’s growth and demonstrates its ability to deliver large public-sector renewable energy projects efficiently and at scale.
Oswal Pumps has consistently participated in government-led renewable energy programmes and has built a track record of timely project execution and quality delivery. The company’s vertically integrated operations enable control over manufacturing, supply chain management, and on-ground implementation.
