The Odisha government has allocated 70 acres of land to Inox Solar, a subsidiary of Inox Clean, to establish a ₹4,000 crore solar cell and module manufacturing plant in Dhenkanal, according to official reports on Tuesday. The new facility will feature a 4.8 GW solar cell plant and a 4.8 GW solar module plant, positioning Inox Solar to build a cutting-edge manufacturing operation.

Inox Clean, a part of the INOXGFL Group, had announced earlier this year that it would invest ₹4,000 crore through Inox Solar to set up this advanced solar manufacturing unit in Odisha. The project, approved by the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), is expected to generate more than 3,400 jobs.

Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, expressed in an official statement, “This investment aligns with our vision of transforming Odisha into a green energy leader. By supporting the establishment of a solar cell and module manufacturing plant, we are fostering sustainable industrial growth, creating job opportunities, and contributing to the economic development of the state.”

Devansh Jain, Executive Director of INOXGFL Group, remarked, “We are proud to collaborate with the Odisha Government in advancing green energy and supporting the Prime Minister’s goal of positioning India as a clean energy hub. This strategic land allocation allows us to expand our solar energy footprint, reaffirming our commitment to India’s clean energy objectives. With our expertise in renewable energy, we aim to provide world-class manufacturing solutions that benefit businesses and communities.”

INOXGFL Group operates across diverse industries, including fluoropolymers, fluorochemicals, battery chemicals, wind turbines, and renewables, further cementing its leadership in sustainable solutions.
