Norck has launched Bauron, a new brand offering precision CNC cutting tools and custom tooling solutions for industrial manufacturers. The portfolio includes drilling, milling, reaming and tapping tools, supported by an online Custom Tool Design platform that allows customers to specify tools for particular machining requirements.

The platform enables users to configure end mills, drills, taps and reamers by selecting parameters such as diameter, length, flute design, coolant options, thread type, pitch, tolerance and coating. Each submission is reviewed by a Bauron engineer, who provides design-for-manufacturability feedback and a quotation before production begins.

The service covers requirements ranging from single tools and prototypes to larger production orders. Customers can also submit CAD drawings or physical samples for measurement and reproduction. Norck said it can provide confidentiality agreements, Certificates of Conformance, measurement reports and material certifications on request.

Bauron’s drilling range includes more than 25 types of solid carbide and HSS-Co drills, including spot, centre, step, micro, counterbore, deep-hole and gun drills. Through-coolant designs support deep-hole drilling from 8xD to 30xD. Its milling portfolio includes square, ball-nose, corner-radius, tapered, form and chipbreaker end mills, as well as dovetail, keyseat and chamfer cutters. Available designs range from two to 12 flutes, allowing tools to be selected according to the workpiece material and machining operation.

The reaming range includes machine, chucking, straight-flute, spiral-flute, piloted, step, shell, tapered and adjustable reamers. Tools are available in high-speed steel, cobalt high-speed steel and solid carbide, with designs capable of H7 bore accuracy. Custom diameters, flute counts and tolerance classes are also offered.

Bauron’s tapping products include spiral-point, spiral-flute, thread-forming, plug, bottoming, taper, pipe and machine-screw taps. Standard thread options include metric, UNC and UNF, while custom solutions can be produced for Metric Fine, UNJ, Acme and NPT threads.

The tools use micro-grain solid carbide or HSS-Co substrates, selected according to the material being machined. Coating options include AlTiN and nACo for steels and superalloys, DLC and ZrN for aluminium and non-ferrous materials, and TiN and TiCN for general-purpose machining and wear resistance. Production is ISO 9001:2015 certified, with tools undergoing 100% optical CMM inspection.

Ed Braun, Chief Technical Engineer at Norck, said the platform allows customers to specify tools based on their materials, machines and component requirements, with engineering review and manufacturing support from prototype quantities to production volumes.

Bauron tools are intended for applications across aerospace and defence, automotive, medical devices, energy, mould and die, and general industrial manufacturing. For recurring requirements, the company also offers blanket orders and vendor-managed inventory arrangements. Norck is a precision manufacturing company. Through Bauron, it offers standard and custom CNC cutting tools, engineering support and manufacturing services for customers requiring application-specific tooling across a range of industrial sectors.
