Motorica, a global MedTech company specializing in assistive technologies and medical cybernetics, has appointed Kavinder Beniwal as Chief Operating Officer for its India operations. This development marks a significant step in the company’s expansion strategy, following the launch of its New Delhi office earlier this year.

Mr Beniwal brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in India’s medical devices sector, with expertise in driving revenue growth, strengthening distribution networks, and spearheading large-scale go-to-market initiatives. He has successfully introduced advanced healthcare technologies, established partnerships with key stakeholders across hospitals, government bodies, and healthcare institutions, and built strong brand positioning in a competitive market.

Speaking on the appointment, Andrei Davidiuk, CEO of Motorica, said: “At Motorica, we believe prosthetics and rehabilitation solutions must go beyond restoring physical function — they should empower confidence, independence, and quality of life. India offers immense opportunities to transform access to these solutions. With Mr. Beniwal’s leadership, we will strengthen our innovation-driven ecosystem while ensuring affordability and accessibility.”

Outlining his vision, Mr Beniwal said: “The future of healthcare lies in inclusive, transformative solutions. At Motorica India, my goal is to expand awareness, adoption, and accessibility of advanced prosthetics and rehabilitation. This is about more than medical care — it is about enabling mobility, dignity, and independence. By collaborating with clinicians, partners, and innovators, we can reshape mobility solutions in India and create meaningful outcomes for patients.”

As COO, Mr Beniwal will lead Motorica India’s efforts to advance prosthetics and rehabilitation solutions nationwide. His priorities include building strategic partnerships, driving innovation, and positioning India as a hub for transformative mobility technologies.

Founded in 2015, Motorica is ranked among the top 10 global companies in upper-limb prosthetics. The company develops and manufactures functional prostheses for both adults and children, and has produced more than 8,000 devices for patients in 17 countries, including India, Vietnam, the MENA region, and Russia. In India, Motorica collaborates with over 25 clinics across Delhi NCR, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and other regions.

Motorica combines 3D printing, robotics, microelectronics, and advanced materials to deliver highly functional and customizable prostheses. The company offers lifelike skin-tone finishes as well as personalized design options. Beyond prosthetics, Motorica has pioneered research in restoring sensory perception and reducing phantom pain using peripheral nervous system stimulation.

In 2024, the company entered the lower-limb prosthetics market with carbon foot models developed in partnership with Turkey-based IB-ER. Motorica continues to expand globally, with India emerging as a priority growth market in its mission to provide advanced mobility solutions that transform patient lives.
