MIC Electronics Limited has established a wholly-owned subsidiary, MIC Defence Systems Private Limited, to expand its presence in the defence and aerospace sector. The new subsidiary will focus on defence electronics and defence systems, aerospace applications, homeland security, unmanned systems, communication systems and surveillance solutions. Its scope will also include emerging technology areas such as electronic warfare, artificial intelligence-based defence technologies and cybersecurity solutions.
MIC Defence Systems has been created as a dedicated platform for the company to pursue opportunities across the defence technology ecosystem. The subsidiary will cover established defence electronics applications as well as newer technology areas that are becoming increasingly important to military and security operations. The company said the formation of the subsidiary will allow it to build a focused business around technologies that combine electronics, communications, surveillance, unmanned systems and software-driven capabilities.

MIC Defence Systems Private Limited is a 100% subsidiary of MIC Electronics Limited, with the entire shareholding held by the parent company.
