MH Equipment has entered into an agreement to combine operations with Bohl Equipment, expanding its material handling service network across northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana. Effective October 1, 2026, the partnership adds three Bohl Equipment locations in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Toledo and Marion, Ohio, taking MH Equipment’s regional network to more than 30 locations.

The combination brings together two established material handling businesses and expands the resources available to customers requiring equipment sales, rentals, maintenance and repair services. Both companies are authorised dealers of Hyster and Yale equipment and have longstanding relationships with industrial and commercial customers.

Coit Edison, Chief Executive Officer of MH Equipment, said the company welcomed the Bohl Equipment team and recognised its longstanding reputation for customer service and technical expertise. He said the partnership was based on shared values and respect, with a focus on maintaining service quality across the region.

Doug Bohl, Co-Owner of Bohl Equipment, said the company had been built over generations through employee commitment and strong customer relationships. He said the decision to combine operations was driven by the need for long-term stability, additional resources and opportunities for employees. Bohl added that the companies’ longstanding relationship and confidence in MH Equipment’s leadership made the partnership a suitable fit.

Customers in northwest Ohio and northeast Indiana will continue to receive local support for forklift and material handling equipment sales, rentals, planned maintenance, emergency repairs, parts, fleet management and warehouse productivity solutions. MH Equipment said existing customer operations, scheduled service appointments, sales relationships and support at the Fort Wayne, Marion and Toledo branches would continue without interruption. Customers will retain access to local teams, with additional equipment inventory and wider regional service capabilities available through the combined organisation.

MH Equipment is one of the larger material handling dealers in the United States, with more than 30 locations and over 1,100 employees serving customers across 10 states in the Midwest and East. Its services include forklift and fleet sales, equipment rentals, maintenance, operator certification and training, and engineered material handling solutions.

Founded in 1924, Bohl Equipment is a family-owned material handling company serving industrial and commercial customers across the Midwest. Its services include new and used equipment, rentals, parts, maintenance, training and solutions from established equipment manufacturers. The company has more than 50 service technicians and a history of supporting customers with equipment reliability, workplace safety and productivity.

The combination strengthens MH Equipment’s regional presence while retaining local service teams and customer relationships. The companies said the expanded network would provide customers with access to additional resources while continuing existing operations at all three branches.
