JSW MG Motor India has announced that the MG Windsor has crossed the 50,000-unit sales mark in a little more than 400 days, creating a new record in the country’s electric vehicle landscape. With this accomplishment, the MG Windsor becomes the first electric car in India to reach this milestone in such a short span, reaffirming its strong foothold in the four-wheeler EV category.
The achievement highlights the model’s rising acceptance among buyers looking for advanced, eco-friendly mobility options. Demand has remained strong not only in major cities but also in emerging urban centres, reflecting a broader shift toward cleaner transportation. The Windsor’s appeal lies in its contemporary design, robust performance, and a well-rounded ownership experience that aligns with the expectations of today’s drivers.

JSW MG Motor India recently introduced the MG Windsor Inspire, a limited-edition variant unveiled by Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways. Positioned as India’s first intelligent CUV, the MG Windsor has redefined expectations in the EV space, blending sedan-like refinement with SUV-like practicality. It is offered at a starting BaaS price of INR 9.99 lakh + INR 3.9/km*, and is powered by a 100 kW (136 PS) motor producing 200 Nm of torque.
The Windsor features MG’s forward-looking ‘AeroGlide’ design theme. The cabin offers a premium, lounge-like environment with seats that recline up to 135 degrees for enhanced comfort. The centre console houses a 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen, providing an immersive and intuitive user interface for the driver and passengers.
Established as a joint venture between SAIC Motor and JSW Group in 2023, JSW MG Motor India is committed to developing a sustainable automotive ecosystem with a diverse product portfolio. Its Gujarat manufacturing facility has an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles and supports 6,000 jobs.
