Leifeld Metal Spinning, a specialist in chipless metal forming machine tools, has successfully completed the acquisition of Boese Systems GmbH & Co. KG, a move that further strengthens its position in the service business. With this strategic acquisition, Leifeld aims to enhance its expertise in the retrofit of PNC spinning machines and offer customers comprehensive and cutting-edge services.
Leifeld’s metal forming machines find applications worldwide in industries like automotive, aerospace, wind power, and energy. The company’s full acquisition of Boese Systems, a renowned supplier of PLC programming, drive technology, and NC-controlled axes, complements Leifeld’s service portfolio. The integration of Boese Systems brings valuable expertise in the service and modernization of PNC spinning machines, control systems, and their upgrades.
Oliver Reimann, CEO of Leifeld, expressed enthusiasm for the acquisition, stating, “The addition of Boese Systems significantly reinforces our service team and brings specialized expertise in supporting older spinning machines with PNC controls. With this strategic move, we underscore our commitment to placing our customers at the center of our service strategy.”
Prior to establishing his family business, Kevin Boese, former managing director of Boese Systems, had served Leifeld for nearly eleven years. He now joins Leifeld’s team as a technician, bringing his extensive expertise in control systems, particularly from the manufacturer Pauly, which are predominantly used in older PNC machines. Boese has played a pivotal role in developing these controls in collaboration with Pauly, making him an invaluable asset to Leifeld’s retrofit initiatives for older machines. His experience further aids in simplifying system conversion and expansion, as well as optimizing program storage and online access.

Leifeld’s service offerings span the globe, allowing customers to reduce operating costs, ensure machine availability, and enhance safety throughout the entire machine life cycle. Services include inspections, maintenance contracts, repairs, spare parts supply, modernizations, trainings, as well as the sale and purchase of used machines.
Stephan Stamm, Leifeld’s service manager, highlighted the company’s commitment to customer proximity, stating, “Our new orientation emphasizes customer-focused service. To achieve this, we have permanently added four service technicians to our field service team, who actively engage with our customers on-site during the ‘road show’.”
With the addition of Boese Systems’ expertise, Leifeld is better equipped to expand its retrofit and used machine business, providing customers with the option of having their machines undergo general overhaul with original parts or new designs. The company ensures the availability of spare parts, especially in the control system domain. When it comes to selling used Leifeld machines, the service team stands ready to offer assistance. Additionally, Leifeld is expanding the spare parts market by increasing its minimum stock of selected components to improve spare part availability. The acquisition of Boese Systems propels Leifeld Metal Spinning towards its goal of offering comprehensive and state-of-the-art service solutions to meet the diverse needs of its customers across various industries.
