Mazak is presenting two of its latest automation-ready machine tools at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show, demonstrating advanced manufacturing capability designed specifically for the demands of motorsports production. On display are the QTE-200MSY CNC Turning Center and the SYNCREX 38/8 Swiss-type turning machine, both engineered for precision machining and rapid production of complex, high-performance components.

Dan Janka, President of Mazak, reaffirmed the company’s longstanding partnership with the racing industry and its ongoing support of engineering innovation within the sector. He noted that Mazak’s presence at PRI continues the company’s mission to provide cutting-edge machining technology that empowers race teams and suppliers to reach new standards of reliability, speed, and component accuracy.

The QTE-200MSY is built for demanding production environments where quick turnaround and repeatable precision are essential. Equipped with a high-speed 20 hp spindle capable of 5,000 rpm, a second spindle for DONE-IN-ONE® machining and a 12-station tool turret, the machine offers powerful milling, turning, and multitasking capability. Linear guides across all axes ensure long-term accuracy, while the belt-free spindle design reduces vibration and maintenance requirements.

The machine operates using the MAZATROL SmoothEz CNC, providing conversational and G-code programming flexibility along with automatic tool presetting that simplifies setup and improves measurement precision. Also being showcased is the SYNCREX 38/8, Mazak’s Swiss-type turning solution built for small, high-volume parts with strict tolerance requirements.

Its high-rigidity base minimizes vibration and thermal drift while supporting long tool life and consistent surface finishes. With an 8-axis configuration, convertible guide-bushing design and capacity for up to 36 tools, the SYNCREX 38/8 enables rapid configuration changes and efficient production of both long and short components. The machine features the SmoothSt CNC with a full mechanical keyboard and optional productivity technologies including Mazak Swiss Setup Assist and Dynamic Chip Control.

Mr Janka emphasized that the culture of motorsports aligns closely with Mazak’s own philosophy of precision and continuous improvement. Every Mazak system at PRI is backed by the company’s MPower Complete Customer Care program and financing support through Mazak Capital Equipment Financing (MCEF), enabling race teams and manufacturing shops to invest in advanced capability with confidence.
