Mankind Pharma Limited (BSE: 543904 | NSE: MANKIND), one of India’s leading pharmaceutical companies, has entered into an exclusive in-licensing and marketing agreement with Chongqing Chenan Biopharmaceutical Co, Ltd, China, for the commercialisation of two insulin analogues in India—Insulin Degludec and the Insulin Degludec + Aspart combination.
The agreement strengthens Mankind Pharma’s growing presence in the diabetes care segment and expands its portfolio of injectable therapies. Through the partnership, the company will seek to broaden the range of treatment options available to patients in India while leveraging innovation emerging from China’s rapidly developing biopharmaceutical ecosystem.
The addition of the two insulin products forms part of Mankind Pharma’s broader strategy to strengthen its chronic therapy portfolio and expand access to advanced treatment options. The company has been increasing its focus on strategic partnerships and in-licensing opportunities to complement its existing product portfolio with differentiated therapies.
