Maison Retail Management International (Maison RMI) has gone live with Centric Planning & Pricing to improve merchandise allocation and replenishment across its growing portfolio of international fashion brands. The Vietnam-based fashion distributor and retailer selected Centric Planning & Pricing to reduce manual work, improve access to data and create a planning model that can be used across its brands.
Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, Maison RMI manages more than 25 international brands, including Charles & Keith, MLB, Pedro, Urban Revivo and FILA. Its portfolio covers fashion, footwear, cosmetics and lifestyle products across Vietnam and Cambodia. The company has expanded its retail network to more than 200 locations.
As the business grew, merchandise planning became more difficult. Teams had to extract, combine and clean information from different systems before starting each replenishment cycle. This process took several hours and involved considerable spreadsheet work.
Maison RMI first introduced Centric Planning & Pricing for Charles & Keith, using the Allocation & Replenishment module as a pilot. Inventory, transaction and product data that previously required manual extraction and checking is now delivered automatically each day. Since the system went live, four merchandisers working on Charles & Keith have saved about 20 hours each per month. This has resulted in approximately 80 hours of manual work being eliminated every month.
“The objective was not to change the buying logic, but to make it more systematic and remove manual work from the process,” said Pierre-Antoine Brun, Chief Operating Officer, Maison RMI. He added that planners now receive data earlier and no longer need to spend the start of their day collecting and checking information. The company has also reduced spreadsheet-based work related to replenishment and store-to-store planning by about 80%.
Mr Brun said the implementation was completed on schedule and within budget. The project also went beyond its original scope, allowing Maison RMI to save 19% of its implementation budget. The company plans to use the savings for additional functionality and future brand deployments.
Maison RMI will now extend the planning model to more brands, including Pedro, Birkenstock and SKECHERS. The company expects the time savings and operational improvements to increase as more functions and brands are brought onto the platform. Fabrice Canonge, CEO of Centric Software, said Maison RMI’s implementation shows how a focused technology project can create a model that can be expanded across a wider brand portfolio.
Centric Software provides enterprise solutions for brands, retailers and manufacturers across several industries, including fashion, luxury, footwear, outdoor, home, cosmetics and personal care, and multi-category retail. The company’s solutions are designed to support product development from the initial concept through commercialization. Centric PLM provides a central environment for managing product information and processes, while its sustainability and compliance capabilities allow organizations to incorporate these requirements into everyday product development activities.
The company said the expanded capabilities will help customers improve reporting, strengthen compliance controls, work more closely with suppliers and make better decisions around product sustainability and circularity. By connecting product information with sustainability and compliance processes, Centric Software aims to help businesses respond to changing regulations while maintaining greater control over product data throughout the product lifecycle.
