Lupin Ltd has announced that its subsidiary, Lupin Manufacturing Solutions (LMS), has entered into a long-term strategic alliance with PolyPeptide Group AG to strengthen and scale the global supply chain for peptide-based active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). PolyPeptide Group AG is a contract development and manufacturing organisation specialising in peptide- and oligonucleotide-based APIs. Under the agreement, the two companies will work together to expand sourcing options, strengthen supply continuity, and meet growing global demand for peptide APIs, including those used in metabolic disease therapies.
The collaboration will focus on integrating procurement and supply planning, maintaining consistent quality standards, and supporting reliable global delivery. The partnership is expected to improve supply chain resilience, enhance operational efficiency, and support readiness for the expanding peptides market.
The alliance also supports the development and commercialisation of next-generation peptide therapies, including treatments for metabolic conditions, and aligns with the long-term growth strategies of both organisations.
