L&T Technology Services (LTTS), a global engineering research and development services provider, has inaugurated its AI-Native Engineering Intelligence (EI) Lab for Digital Manufacturing in Bengaluru. The facility will demonstrate the use of artificial intelligence, digital twins, industrial robotics and autonomous systems across manufacturing and industrial operations.

The lab extends LTTS’ Engineering Intelligence capabilities to manufacturing environments, allowing customers and partners to explore how digital engineering, virtual validation, connected production and intelligent operations can be integrated across the manufacturing lifecycle. The facility is organised around several technology areas. Its Manufacturing Intelligence section features an AI-powered Manufacturing Command Centre, a manufacturing data fabric supported by a knowledge graph, a supply chain control tower, AI-based production planning and multi-plant benchmarking tools. These systems are designed to help manufacturers monitor operations and improve production planning and decision-making.

The AI-Native Factory section brings together intelligent machines, robots, collaborative robots, drones, autonomous systems and digital twins. The environment uses NVIDIA technologies, including NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, PhysX, Cosmos and NeMo, alongside OpenUSD-based digital twin workflows. These tools support simulation, visualisation, validation and the development of Industrial AI and Physical AI applications.

The lab also features an Operations AI and Autonomy layer designed to check actions generated by AI agent systems before they are sent to machines. This verification mechanism is intended to support controlled execution and safer decision-making in connected manufacturing environments. Applications cover factory design and simulation, production, process and quality control, maintenance, and sustainability.

LTTS will also demonstrate EIOne, its Engineering Intelligence platform that brings together more than 100 engineering intelligence solutions and agentic AI systems in a single governed environment. The platform is designed to help enterprises develop, deploy and scale AI-based engineering and manufacturing workflows while maintaining security, governance and operational control.

Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director for South Asia at NVIDIA, said AI was changing how manufacturers design, simulate and operate factories. He said the collaboration combines NVIDIA’s computing and simulation technologies with LTTS’ engineering expertise to help manufacturers evaluate AI-driven industrial applications.

Amit Chadha, CEO and Managing Director of LTTS and a NASSCOM Executive Council member, said the lab would allow customers to assess how engineering, AI and physical systems could address manufacturing challenges. He added that the collaboration would help translate these technologies into practical solutions for global customers.
