Larsen & Toubro’s Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division has successfully secured multiple new contracts, both within India and internationally. In India, the company has been awarded a significant project to establish a 765kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) in the western region. Additionally, it will undertake the turnkey construction of a transmission line designed to support the evacuation of power from the same area.
On the international front, L&T has secured contracts in Saudi Arabia to build two 380kV overhead transmission lines. Spanning over 130 kilometers, these lines will provide reliable electricity to the townships surrounding Riyadh.
The PT&D business has also received multiple turnkey orders for constructing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning 132/11kV GIS in the UAE, along with a 132kV GIS in Qatar. Further orders have been placed as part of ongoing projects in India and Oman. These new contracts highlight the continued growth in investments for efficient grid infrastructure, both domestically and internationally, and reflect the trust customers place in L&T’s expertise and capabilities.
