L&T Secures Major Contracts for Power Transmission & Distribution Projects

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) division has secured significant new orders both domestically and internationally. In India, the company has received an order for the construction of 765kV and 400kV transmission lines as part of a Renewable Energy Zone development in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, L&T also secured a contract for the turnkey construction of a 400kV transmission line designed to transport power from a non-fossil fuel-based power plant in southern India.

Internationally, in Saudi Arabia, L&T has been awarded a contract for a 380kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS), which includes reactors and the installation of hybrid GIS Bays. Additionally, the company has received an order in Abu Dhabi for the development of a new 220/33kV grid station and related works.
