Lodha Developers Ltd has signed a fresh memorandum of understanding with the Government of Maharashtra to invest an additional ₹1 lakh crore in data centre infrastructure, taking its total commitment to ₹1.3 lakh crore. The agreement was signed by Abhishek Lodha, MD and CEO, during the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The expanded investment builds on the ₹30,000 crore commitment made in September last year under the state’s Green Integrated Data Centre Park policy. Spread across a planned capacity of approximately 2.5 gigawatts, the project is expected to become the largest data centre park in India.

The development is projected to generate over 16,000 direct and indirect jobs and attract major global and domestic data centre operators. Amazon has already acquired land within the park and secured long-term power arrangements, while Singapore-based STT Global Data Centres has also invested in the project.

Leveraging its decades of experience in large-scale construction and infrastructure development, Lodha will act as the developer for multiple data centre players setting up operations in the park.

Abhishek Lodha said the Maharashtra government’s focus on economic growth and infrastructure development has created a strong foundation for long-term investments. He added that the company remains committed to supporting the state’s vision of becoming a leading digital infrastructure hub.

Lodha is India’s leading luxury real estate developer, with around 100 million square feet delivered and over 110 million square feet under development. Its portfolio spans residential, commercial and digital infrastructure projects. The company has also committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
