Midwestern distributor Lipari Foods has chosen RELEX Solutions to modernize its supply chain planning and strengthen replenishment processes across its distribution network. Lipari Foods supplies thousands of retailers with grocery, deli, bakery, natural and specialty products, managing more than 23,000 SKUs. With a large share of fast-moving and short-shelf-life items, the company requires accurate demand forecasting and clear visibility into inventory risks to limit spoilage and prevent stockouts.

To support its continued growth, Lipari Foods sought a more scalable planning system capable of improving inventory forecasting, reducing manual replenishment work and identifying the drivers behind waste and service disruptions. Greater precision in forecasting fresh and ultra-fresh categories was identified as a priority.

Under the agreement, Lipari Foods will deploy integrated supply chain and replenishment planning tools from RELEX, including intraday recalculations, wholesale channel planning, seasonal forecasting, capacity planning and fresh optimization capabilities. The company will also implement RELEX’s Advanced Diagnostics tools to analyze spoilage, availability gaps and inventory performance using AI-supported insights. Supplier collaboration features will be introduced for key vendor partners.

Shaun Bunch, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Lipari Foods, said improved forecasting accuracy, automation and early identification of service risks are essential as the company scales its operations. Frank Lord, Chief Revenue Officer at RELEX Solutions, noted that enhanced planning visibility helps distributors manage large assortments more effectively while protecting service levels.
