Link Logistics, a leading operator of last-mile industrial real estate and warehouse properties, has expanded its portfolio with the addition of a 402,444-square-foot Class-A industrial property at 5100 Jeff Commerce Drive in Louisville, Kentucky. The property is located in Louisville’s Southside/Airport submarket, a major logistics and manufacturing corridor. It is close to UPS Worldport, GE Appliance Park and the Ford Assembly Plant, providing access to key transportation and industrial hubs. The property also offers an immediate leasing opportunity for companies seeking well-connected industrial space in the Louisville market.
The acquisition strengthens Link Logistics’ presence in Louisville, where its industrial portfolio now exceeds 5 million square feet. The company said the investment supports its strategy of expanding in markets with strong long-term demand and connectivity to major supply chains.
“ Our investment strategy is focused on expanding Link Logistics’ presence in markets that offer long-term relevance to our customers and their supply chains,” said Andrew Goodman, senior managing director, Investments, Link Logistics. “This addition reflects our continued conviction in Louisville, a market supported by durable demand drivers and strong connectivity to major logistics and manufacturing hubs.”
Louisville has developed into an important logistics center due to its central U.S. location, extensive transportation network and strong air cargo infrastructure. The city is also home to a well-established manufacturing base, supporting demand for industrial properties that can serve regional and national distribution requirements.
“Louisville’s combination of air cargo infrastructure, central U.S. connectivity and an established manufacturing base continues to support demand for well-located industrial space,” said Laura Hyde, managing director, Investments, Link Logistics. “5100 Jeff Commerce adds a high-quality asset in the Airport submarket and expands our ability to serve customers seeking efficient regional and national distribution capabilities.”
The newly added property provides Link Logistics with an opportunity to serve businesses requiring modern warehouse and distribution facilities in an established industrial location. Its proximity to major employers, transportation infrastructure and logistics facilities is expected to enhance its appeal to potential customers. CBRE represented Link Logistics in the transaction, while NAI Fortis and Lee & Associates represented the seller.
Link Logistics was established by Blackstone in 2019 and operates a large portfolio of industrial real estate across the United States. The company manages approximately half a billion square feet of modern warehouse properties and focuses on locations that connect businesses with consumers, technology and e-commerce networks.
The company uses its scale, data capabilities and focus on sustainability and power to support customers’ operational needs while creating value for stakeholders. Link Logistics also emphasizes its role in supporting local communities and the people who live and work in them.
