LINDAL Group has announced that its Altachem production site in Belgium has once again received the “Factory of the Future” award, recognising the facility’s continued progress in advanced manufacturing, digitalisation and sustainability. The renewed recognition highlights Altachem’s commitment to innovation and operational excellence in a competitive industrial environment.

The award ceremony took place on February 10 and celebrated leading manufacturing companies across Belgium that are shaping the future of industry. The event was attended by Walloon Deputy Minister-President Pierre-Yves Jeholet, while Flemish Minister-President Matthias Diependaele addressed participants through a video message. LINDAL Group was represented by Jean-Marie Poppe and Wouter Van Haute, who accepted the award on behalf of the Altachem team.

The “Factory of the Future” designation is granted to companies that demonstrate strong performance in areas such as digital transformation, smart production, workforce development, sustainable innovation and efficient use of energy and materials. The recognition is awarded for three years following a detailed audit, and renewal requires a fresh evaluation, making the achievement significant.

This year, LINDAL Group was among eleven companies to retain the title, reflecting the company’s consistent progress and long-term focus on advanced manufacturing practices. Since its launch in 2015, the programme has recognised 84 companies that are helping to modernise Belgium’s industrial sector and support Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Altachem has invested in automation, data-driven processes and energy-efficient operations to improve productivity and environmental performance. The site has also focused on employee training and skills development to support new technologies and strengthen workplace engagement.

Jean-Marie Poppe, Managing Director of Altachem, said the recognition reflects the dedication of the entire team and their commitment to building a modern, efficient and sustainable manufacturing operation. He added that continuous improvement and collaboration remain central to the company’s approach. Altachem plays an important role in LINDAL Group’s global production network, supporting the company’s goal of delivering high-quality dispensing solutions while reducing environmental impact.
