LG Electronics India (LGE India) has announced the successful deployment of its advanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions at Seva Teerth, the newly inaugurated Prime Minister’s Office building. The project marks a significant contribution to India’s evolving institutional infrastructure, showcasing high-performance, energy-efficient climate control technology designed for large-scale facilities.
As part of the installation, LGE India implemented a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) air-conditioning system with a total capacity of 1,590 horsepower. The system comprises 113 outdoor units and was manufactured at the company’s facility in Pune, underscoring its commitment to the Make in India initiative and the broader vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Engineered specifically for Indian climatic conditions, the VRF system is designed to operate at full capacity without deration even at temperatures up to 39°C, based on internal testing standards. This ensures consistent cooling performance during peak summer conditions, supporting uninterrupted operations in critical government infrastructure.
The installation incorporates advanced energy-efficient technologies, including durable black fin heat exchangers that enhance system longevity and performance in high ambient environments. To further optimize operational efficiency, the project includes the deployment of LGE India’s AC Smart 5 Intelligent Control Platform. Eight units of this centralized system enable real-time monitoring, streamlined management, and improved energy utilization across the facility.
Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of LGE India, stated that the company is honored to contribute to such a prestigious national project. He highlighted the growing importance of intelligent HVAC systems in supporting India’s infrastructure transformation and emphasized the company’s focus on delivering solutions tailored to diverse climatic conditions.
The Seva Teerth project reflects LGE India’s expanding role in the commercial air-conditioning segment, particularly in high-profile institutional developments. As demand for energy-efficient and technologically advanced buildings continues to rise, the company aims to support this transition by delivering solutions that combine performance, reliability, and sustainability.
