TRUMPF revealed that the TruLaser Tube 3000 fiber is its latest laser tube cutting. For low to medium capacity utilization also, it is economical. Companies new to this technology and also companies extending their production capacity can leverage this cutting machine, which brings about versatile processing of tubes and profiles and is a substitute for conventional tube processing steps such as milling, drilling, and sawing.

The TruLaser Tube 3000 includes flat steel bars, round tubes, and profiles (L and U). This 2 KW solid-state laser is used with copper, brass, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, and Mild Steel. The machine has storage of a set of cutting data. Tubes with diameters up to 152 mm and outer circumference up to 170 mm can be cut. It has a self-centering clamping technology to hold and position the tube correctly and adapt to the tube dimensions. It has an automatic configuration of other crucial settings.

The AdjustLine function has a button to modify cutting parameters to ensure the reliable cutting of lesser-quality materials. SeamLine Tube assists operators by detection of weld seams and marking on the inner and the outer tube surfaces thereby determining correct alignment and desired position. The machine has a simple setup and a high degree of automation with a user-friendly approach, which is economical.

The TruLaser Tube 3000 can be used with tubes with a weight of 18.5 kgs per meter and 8 mm thickness. The lengths that can be used are 6.5 or 8 meters. The optional LoadMaster Tube automated loading system is an economical choice for high-volume production. The integrated materials store holds up to 4 metric tons of raw material or up to 5 metric tons if an 8-meter loading length is used.

The LoadMaster Tube system separates, measures, and transfers tubes to the machine. For superior-quality parts, step rollers support the tubes up to the machining station and adjust them to the current tube diameter. On the unloading side, guide rollers offer support to long tubes in processing.

The TruLaser Tube 3000 fiber sends finished goods to the racks. Due to the proper ergonomic height, operators remove them easily without stopping the machine. Shorter parts fall in a box. Finished parts are separated from cutting slugs and scrap metal and disposed in containers

The machine’s beam guard enables operators to easily access the loading and the unloading sides of the machine regardless of any other issue. The entire housing is not needed. Monitoring the machining is feasible from a large, laser-safe viewing window.

Through an app, users monitor the machine and modify the production schedule. A secure, OPC UA-based data interface connects the machine to an ERP or MES system or a cloud application. TRUMPF machine apps render data related to program runtimes and machine capacity utilization.
