Koraam, powered by Kosol Energie Pvt Ltd, has secured its fourth order from the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for the deployment of solar-powered water pumping systems under the Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana (MTSKPY). The latest Letter of Empanelment covers the installation of 2,933 solar water pumping systems across Maharashtra, further strengthening the company’s presence in the agricultural renewable energy sector and expanding access to sustainable irrigation solutions for farmers throughout the state.
The project forms part of ongoing efforts to promote solar-powered agriculture and reduce dependence on conventional energy sources in rural areas. Through the deployment of solar irrigation infrastructure, farmers will gain access to reliable and environmentally sustainable energy for water pumping and agricultural operations.
Under the contract, Koraam will be responsible for the complete execution of the project, including system design, manufacturing, supply, installation, testing and commissioning. The company will also provide long-term maintenance and after-sales support to ensure reliable operation and performance throughout the lifecycle of the equipment.
The initiative aligns closely with the Government of India’s renewable energy objectives under the PM-KUSUM programme, which seeks to encourage the adoption of solar-powered irrigation systems across the country. By supporting off-grid agricultural pumping solutions, the programme aims to improve energy security for farmers while contributing to sustainable agricultural development.
The solar pumping systems will be powered by advanced photovoltaic modules manufactured by Kosol Energie. Designed specifically for agricultural applications, the systems incorporate high-efficiency solar modules rated at 535 Wp and 450 Wp. These modules are engineered to maximize energy generation under diverse environmental conditions and deliver dependable performance in regions characterized by high temperatures and intensive agricultural activity.
The modules feature advanced solar cell technology, low temperature coefficients and anti-reflective coated glass to enhance light absorption and overall system efficiency. These design characteristics contribute to higher energy yields, greater durability and long-term operational reliability.
The project represents another milestone in Koraam’s efforts to expand its footprint within India’s rapidly growing agricultural solar market. The company has emerged as a significant participant in government-backed solar irrigation initiatives and continues to strengthen its capabilities in delivering large-scale renewable energy projects.
Koraam, a dedicated agricultural solar solutions platform powered by Kosol Energie, focuses on advancing solar farming technologies and agro-photovoltaic applications across India. The company has installed more than 10,000 solar pumps within a year and currently operates across seven states and more than 200 districts.
Beyond solar pumping solutions, Koraam offers a broad portfolio of agricultural renewable energy technologies, including solar dryers, solar-powered milk chilling systems, solar cold storage solutions and advanced solar pump control systems designed to improve farm productivity and sustainability. As India accelerates the transition toward clean energy and climate-resilient agriculture, projects such as the Maharashtra solar pumping initiative play an important role in supporting rural development and enhancing farmer livelihoods
