Smart appliances startup Karban Envirotech has successfully raised a seed funding round of Rs 8.93 crores (approximately $1.07 million). The funding round was led by prominent investors including Titan Capital, Rainmatter, and All In Capital.
Joining the seed round were several notable investors such as Urban Company, JK Family Office, Kunal Shah, Anupam Mittal (Shark Tank India), Bharat Jaisinghiani, Atul Gupta, Abhishek Goyal, Sumer Sethi, Natasha Malpani Oswal, Sarang Iyengar, and Karan Jindal.
Karban, known for manufacturing high-end energy-efficient electronic appliances, plans to utilize the funds to accelerate its growth trajectory, expand its team, drive innovation, and develop new products.
Founder of Karban, Karan Bansal, expressed gratitude for the support of their partners and emphasized the significance of the funding in advancing their research and development efforts. He highlighted the company’s commitment to delivering world-class consumer products proudly made in India.
Established in December 2021 by Karan Bansal and Tanya Goyal, Karban specializes in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art bladeless ceiling fans with in-built air purifiers and lights. Their flagship product, Karban Airzone, is available on their website as well as popular e-commerce platforms.
Karban has leveraged Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of their airflow devices. This unique design not only reduces electricity consumption but also provides multifunctionality in air-flow, air-purification, and lighting for various settings including homes, offices, hotels, and restaurants.
