Jürgen Albig, Global President of the Ventilation Division at Ziehl-Abegg, has been distinguished with the “Legends of Eurovent” award in the category Certification Champion Ventilation. The honour was presented during the Eurovent Summit 2025 in Prague, acknowledging his outstanding commitment to advancing reliable and transparent certification standards within the international ventilation industry.
Eurovent paid tribute to Albig’s long-standing contribution to aligning global certification frameworks and promoting comparability in fan performance across regions. His initiatives have played a central role in enhancing quality assurance and raising efficiency benchmarks for manufacturers and users alike.
“Jürgen Albig has been instrumental in strengthening transatlantic cooperation between Eurovent and the American AMCA association,” noted Sylvain Courtey, President of Eurovent Certita Certification. “His leadership in harmonising certification standards for fans marks a major achievement for the entire sector.”
With more than four decades of experience in the development and production of ventilation systems, Albig oversees Ziehl-Abegg’s worldwide ventilation business. Beyond his corporate role, he contributes actively to numerous technical committees and industry organisations at both European and global levels, including the Air Movement and Control Association International (AMCA) and the European Ventilation Industry Association (EVIA), where he serves as a board member.
“This award underscores the crucial role of trustworthy, comparable certification systems in ensuring high-performance, energy-efficient fan technologies worldwide,” said Joachim Ley, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg SE. “We are proud to have Jürgen Albig as part of our leadership team – a highly respected professional whose expertise is recognised across the industry.”
