Juniper Green Energy inks 25-year agreement with Tata Power for 70 MW FDRE project

Juniper Green Energy Ltd announced that its subsidiary, Juniper Green Sigma Eight Pvt Ltd, has finalized a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Company Ltd for a 70 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. The agreement will remain valid for 25 years. Under this arrangement, Juniper Green Energy will establish an integrated renewable energy facility in Maharashtra, combining solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The installation will have a renewable generation capacity of approximately 180 MWp and a storage capacity of around 280 MWh. Energy delivery to Tata Power is expected to begin in September 2027.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Tata Power on this landmark FDRE project,” said Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Green Energy. “This partnership underlines our ability to develop and execute large-scale renewable projects that contribute to India’s vision of a dependable and sustainable energy future.” Earlier this year, in June 2025, Juniper Green Energy signed a PPA with NHPC Ltd for a 250 MW FDRE project to supply power to the state of Haryana.

Juniper Green Energy, part of the Singapore-based AT Capital Group, is a leading independent renewable power producer in India. The company develops, constructs, and operates utility-scale solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects, with a current operational portfolio of 1.45 GWp as of June 2025. The firm is also preparing for an initial public offering (IPO) in November 2025, targeting to raise ₹3,000 crore through a fresh issue with no offer-for-sale component.
