JK Fenner India Ltd has formed a strategic alliance with NMC Motors, a leading South Korean manufacturer of electric vehicle motors, to develop and manufacture e-axles. The collaboration was formalized through a technology partnership agreement signed at a ceremony in Chennai on Wednesday.
Headquartered in Chennai, JK Fenner specializes in power transmission, fluid transfer, and sealing systems. The company plans to build a dedicated facility for manufacturing e-axles, initially focused on three-wheelers and small commercial vehicles, with the potential for future expansion into four-wheelers.
As part of the collaboration, JK Fenner will benefit from NMC Motors’ technical expertise in e-axle development and manufacturing, facilitating the transfer of advanced production technologies from the South Korean partner.
