Jindal Stainless has announced its support for an advanced air purification project at the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Ramp Building near Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi. Named “Sanjeevan,” the initiative is being implemented in partnership with Amida Cleantech Pvt Ltd and marks the company’s largest corporate social responsibility programme to date.

The project will install 58 stainless-steel air purification units using Amida’s ACE+ technology, designed to attract, capture and eliminate pollutants from ambient air. The system is capable of treating more than 3,00,000 cubic metres of air per hour and targets particulate matter, toxic gases and microbial contaminants.

Jindal Stainless said the initiative aims to improve air quality for local residents and the large number of pilgrims visiting the temple complex. The programme also aligns with India’s National Clean Air Programme and follows approval from the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham Authority. Amida Cleantech stated that its ACE+ technology has been tested and validated by leading government agencies, including NITI Aayog, and is designed to address pollution in densely populated and high-traffic areas.

The project’s objectives include reducing emissions from the Manikarnika Ghat cremation area, improving air quality along the temple corridor and protecting nearby buildings from environmental damage. Local authorities have welcomed the initiative for its contribution to public health and environmental improvement.

Jindal Stainless, India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer, continues to invest in sustainable manufacturing practices and infrastructure innovation, supporting long-term industrial growth and efficiency.
