ITP Aero has commenced construction of a new manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, marking a major expansion of its operations in India and reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the region’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem. The foundation stone ceremony signals the next phase of ITP Aero’s growth strategy in India, where the company has maintained operations for the past 15 years. During this period, the company has steadily expanded its manufacturing capabilities, built a skilled workforce, and strengthened partnerships across the local aerospace and industrial ecosystem.
The new Hyderabad plant is expected to become fully operational by 2027 and will focus on manufacturing components for commercial aviation engines, including fabricated assemblies and precision-machined parts. The facility will support rising global demand within the commercial aviation industry while further strengthening ITP Aero’s role in international aerospace supply chains.
As part of the expansion, the company plans to create more than 350 new skilled jobs over the next five years. These additions will complement the company’s existing workforce of around 250 manufacturing employees in India. The investment is expected to contribute significantly to local economic growth while supporting the development of advanced aerospace manufacturing capabilities in the region.
ITP Aero recently strengthened its leadership team in India with the appointment of Sandeep Sharma as Managing Director for India. Sharma brings more than two decades of experience in the aerospace sector and has previously held leadership roles at Pratt & Whitney across supply chain management, business development, finance, and customer service functions.
Carlos Alzola, Chief Executive Officer of ITP Aero, said Hyderabad has played an important role in the company’s industrial journey over the last 15 years. He noted that the expansion reflects the company’s confidence in the region’s industrial capabilities, skilled workforce, and long-term growth potential. He also acknowledged the support provided by the Government of Telangana in facilitating the project.
Sridhar Babu said the expansion reinforces Telangana’s growing position as an aerospace manufacturing destination. He added that the new facility will strengthen the state’s industrial ecosystem by generating skilled employment opportunities, attracting advanced manufacturing investments, and enhancing integration with global supply chains.
The expansion comes during a period of strong business growth for ITP Aero globally. In 2025, the company reported revenues of approximately €1.88 billion, reflecting a 17 percent increase over the previous year, while EBITDA rose by 28 percent to €379 million. ITP Aero has also announced plans to invest nearly €1.2 billion in research, development, and capital expenditure across its global facilities through 2030, highlighting its continued focus on technology advancement and long-term industrial expansion.
