Inteva Products LLC, a global provider of automotive systems and components, has expanded its manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, investing $3.3 million to increase production capacity and enhance operational efficiency.
This expansion comes in response to rising demand within India’s automotive sector and enlarges the plant’s production space by 70%, totaling 85,000 square feet, with an additional 26,000 square feet of new office space.
The expanded facility will allow Inteva to introduce new production lines for window regulators, latches, and window regulator motor assemblies, strengthening supply chain capabilities for its Indian customer base, which includes major automakers such as Mahindra & Mahindra, TATA Motors, Stellantis, Volkswagen, Hyundai, MG Motors, and Force Motors. Inteva also exports window regulator motors to South Africa and North America, supporting its global reach.
The expansion will create 100 new jobs in Pune, aligning with Inteva’s focus on employing local talent and supporting Maharashtra’s economic growth. “This investment reinforces Inteva’s commitment to the Indian market, essential to our global strategy,” said Gerard Roose, President and CEO of Inteva Products.
Sanjay Kataria, Vice President and Managing Director of Inteva India, added, “Our focus on advanced manufacturing in Pune highlights our dedication to quality and innovation, meeting customer needs for high-quality automotive components.”
Since establishing its Pune operations in 2008 and moving to the Chakan plant in 2012, Inteva has built a strong reputation for delivering advanced automotive solutions with a focus on quality and sustainability. The company also operates a technical center in Bengaluru, employing around 320 staff, including 181 engineers, to support both global and local product development.
As India’s automotive market grows, Inteva’s strengthened presence positions it well to meet both domestic and international demand, supporting supply chains and contributing to local economic development.
