NDR Auto Components, a leading supplier of seat frames and trims to major automakers such as Maruti Suzuki, Toyota, and Kia, is gearing up to expand its operations as it nears capacity at its existing plants. During a recent investor call, the company disclosed its plans to acquire land in Kharkhoda, near the upcoming Maruti Suzuki plant, and explore land acquisition possibilities in Anantapur, close to Kia’s manufacturing facility.

Pranav Relan, Whole-time Director of NDR Auto Components, emphasized the company’s readiness for expansion, stating, “Utilizations at our facilities across Haryana, Bangalore, and Gujarat stood at 80%, offering us an ample runway from having sales with rising capacities. So once we run out of capacity, then we will look to expand.” With an order book of around Rs 250–300 crore, which is likely to be executed in one and a half to two years, NDR is poised for growth.

NDR Auto Components recently secured empanelment as a tier 2 supplier to Hyundai TRANSYS to supply seat trims to Kia, starting from January 2025. The manufacturing of seating trims will take place at the company’s Bengaluru facility, strategically located near Kia’s manufacturing operations.

Moreover, in February 2024, NDR Auto Components entered into a technical assistance agreement with Hayashi Telempu for the supply of sunshades to Maruti and Toyota automobiles. Hayashi Telempu, a Japanese company with over a century of experience and revenues of 1.9 billion, specializes in producing automotive interior, exterior, and aftermarket parts.

Relan highlighted the upward revision in volume growth witnessed during the current fiscal for SUVs, along with the commencement of the Kia business in January 2025 and the sunshade business in February 2025. “So I think we should be at a low double-digit number this year,” he added.

NDR Auto Components’ expansion plans underscore its commitment to meeting the rising demand from automakers and strengthening its position in the automotive component industry.
