InSolare Energy Limited has been awarded a prestigious Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) clean energy framework. Located in Kolimigundla, Nandyal District, Andhra Pradesh, and linked to the Kurnool-3 substation of the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS) network, the project encompasses design, engineering, civil construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and five years of comprehensive operations and maintenance. This initiative will play a pivotal role in bolstering India’s renewable energy reliability and grid resilience, contributing significantly to the nation’s Net Zero ambitions.

Established in 2008, InSolare Energy has been a driving force in India’s renewable transformation for over 16 years, consistently pioneering technological and execution excellence. The company’s landmark achievements include India’s first 5 MW solar tracker project (2011) and Asia’s largest canal-top solar project (2017).

With a 1 GW+ EPC portfolio spanning 22 states, InSolare has expanded its expertise into Topcon module manufacturing, electrolyser development, and green hydrogen solutions, positioning itself as a comprehensive clean energy infrastructure provider. “Tackling climate change has always been our guiding principle,” said Dr Sunit Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director, InSolare Energy. “This BESS project represents another engineering breakthrough, ensuring India’s renewable energy becomes more reliable, dispatchable, and scalable. As we advance in energy storage, we’re uniting sustainability with dependability.”

The SECI award underscores InSolare’s status as a trusted partner in India’s energy transition. With renewable generation growing rapidly, large-scale storage systems are essential for balancing supply-demand gaps, preventing curtailment, and maintaining grid stability.

InSolare’s selection reflects its technical capability, execution strength, and alignment with India’s long-term energy security objectives. Over time, the company has evolved the EPC model through data-driven engineering, in-house R&D, and client-focused delivery. “Every project begins with one question—how do we make energy cleaner, smarter, and more enduring?” said Dr Hemanshu Bhatt, Executive Director & CTO. “The answer lies in innovation, disciplined execution, and integrity—values that define InSolare’s ethos.” Looking ahead, InSolare envisions digitally managed, locally manufactured energy systems that integrate AI-based forecasting, storage analytics, and sustainable construction, creating the blueprint for India’s next generation of energy infrastructure.
