INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India’s leading producer of industrial, electronic, and medical gases, has signed a 20-year Build-Own-Operate (BOO) agreement with Premier Energies, one of the country’s largest integrated solar cell and module manufacturers. Under the deal, INOXAP will install and operate a cryogenic Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Premier Energies’ greenfield solar cell facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh. The ASU will deliver 7,000 nm³/h of 5N-grade Gaseous Nitrogen, 250 nm³/h of 6N-grade ultra-high purity Gaseous Oxygen, and additional liquid gas products. Commissioning of the unit is planned for next year.
This agreement extends INOXAP’s four-year collaboration with Premier Energies, following previous long-term on-site contracts from its existing cryogenic plants. INOXAP has already installed nitrogen generators at Premier’s Hyderabad facility, including 2×750 nm³/h and 1×1,000 nm³/h units, and has started supplying electronic-grade gases for Premier’s current 3 GW solar PV production as well as the upcoming 4 GW capacity.
Siddharth Jain, Managing Director of INOX Air Products, said, “We are proud to partner with Premier Energies to advance India’s solar manufacturing capabilities. This agreement ensures a consistent, high-purity gas supply for their facility and marks the launch of India’s first integrated ASU dedicated to solar cell manufacturing. It supports technology adoption and strengthens the country’s clean energy transition.”
Surender Pal Singh Saluja, Chairman of Premier Energies, added, “INOXAP has been our trusted partner for gas supply, helping us lead India’s renewable energy growth. This new agreement reinforces our shared commitment to strengthening the solar manufacturing ecosystem and promoting India’s self-reliance in clean energy production.”
