INOX Air Products Private Limited (INOXAP), one of India’s leading manufacturers of industrial, electronic and specialty gases, has entered into a 15-year agreement with Insolation Green Energy Private Limited (INA Solar), a wholly owned subsidiary of Insolation Energy Limited, to supply ultra-high purity (UHP) nitrogen for its upcoming 4.5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility at Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.
Under the long-term agreement, INOX Air Products will supply ultra-high purity nitrogen at a capacity of 2,400 Nm³ per hour through a dedicated pipeline network. The company will invest in developing the required pipeline infrastructure by connecting its existing Air Separation Unit (ASU) in Narmadapuram directly to the new manufacturing plant, ensuring uninterrupted and reliable gas supply for the facility’s operations.
The partnership is aimed at supporting advanced solar cell manufacturing processes, where ultra-high purity nitrogen plays a critical role in maintaining controlled production environments and ensuring product quality. The direct pipeline model is expected to enhance operational efficiency while eliminating the need for conventional gas transportation methods.
The agreement represents a significant step toward strengthening India’s renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem by providing essential industrial infrastructure for one of the country’s large-scale solar cell production facilities. It also aligns with the national objective of expanding domestic manufacturing capabilities and reducing dependence on imported components across the clean energy sector.
Commenting on the development, Diganta Sarma, Head – Strategy & Business Development at INOX Air Products, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to supporting India’s renewable energy ambitions through dependable industrial gas solutions. He noted that the company will leverage its existing infrastructure in Narmadapuram while making additional investments to establish dedicated pipeline connectivity that ensures a continuous supply of ultra-high purity nitrogen. According to him, the collaboration will contribute to the development of critical industrial infrastructure and support the growth of the region’s manufacturing ecosystem.
Vikas Jain, Managing Director of Insolation Green Energy Private Limited, said the company’s expansion plans require reliable access to high-quality industrial inputs and infrastructure. He stated that the agreement with INOX Air Products secures a dependable supply of ultra-high purity nitrogen, an essential element in solar cell manufacturing, while reinforcing the company’s commitment to building world-class production capabilities in India. He added that the collaboration supports the broader goal of creating a robust and self-reliant renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem.
The latest agreement further strengthens INOX Air Products’ presence in high-growth sectors such as renewable energy, semiconductors and electronics manufacturing. Over the past year, the company has secured several strategic partnerships in the solar industry, reinforcing its position as a key provider of industrial gas solutions that enable next-generation manufacturing. By combining advanced gas supply infrastructure with long-term customer partnerships, INOX Air Products continues to support India’s expanding clean energy value chain and the country’s efforts to establish itself as a global manufacturing hub for renewable energy technologies.
