Infineon Technologies AG has announced the new CoolGaN™ Transistor 700 V G4 product family. These transistors offer 20% better performance compared to other GaN products, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced power losses. They are suitable for applications like consumer chargers, notebook adapters, data center power supplies, renewable energy inverters, and battery storage.
The series includes 13 devices with a 700 V voltage rating and on-resistance ranging from 20mΩ to 315 mΩ. These transistors come in various packages like PDFN, TOLL, and TOLT, allowing for optimized electrical and thermal system performance.
Key features include fast turn-on and turn-off speeds, minimal switching losses, and high reliability with a transient voltage rating of 850 V. They can handle power systems from 20 W to 25,000 W. The CoolGaN Transistor 700 V G4 products in TOLL, PDFN 5×6, and 8×8 packages are available now, with more options coming later this year.
