Infineon and ARAI Partner to Enhance Automotive Semiconductor Solutions in India

Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on developing advanced semiconductor technologies for the Indian automotive sector. The partnership will focus on creating electric vehicle (EV) inverters and vehicle control units specifically designed for electric vehicles in India. Both organizations aim to increase the visibility of these drivetrain solutions, promoting their adoption among automotive manufacturers across the country.

Beyond drivetrain technologies, the collaboration will also involve joint development of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Automated Driving (AD) solutions, including features such as Automated Emergency Braking (AEB), Blind Spot Detection (BSD), and Lane Keep Assist (LKA).

The collaboration will also address the growing need for cybersecurity in connected and software-defined vehicles. Infineon and ARAI are committed to ensuring that their products and solutions address various cybersecurity challenges, ensuring that automotive solutions are both robust and secure.
