India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra) has revised the outlook on Carraro India Limited’s long-term bank facilities from Stable to Positive while reaffirming the company’s long-term credit rating of ‘IND A+’. The agency has also upgraded Carraro India’s short-term rating to ‘IND A1+’, recognising the company’s improved financial strength, strong liquidity, and sustained operational performance.
The revised outlook reflects expectations of continued revenue growth, improving profitability, and healthy credit metrics over the medium term, supported by favourable demand across the agricultural and construction equipment sectors and the company’s focus on operational efficiency.
Carraro India reported consolidated revenue of ₹2,255.5 crore for FY26, representing a 25% year-on-year increase. Growth was driven by strong domestic demand, expanding export business, and increasing demand for advanced driveline systems used in off-highway equipment. The company continues to strengthen its position as a key supplier of transmission systems, axles, and specialised components for agricultural machinery and construction equipment manufacturers.
Profitability also improved during the year, with EBITDA margin rising to 9.7%. The improvement was supported by ongoing cost optimisation initiatives, increased localisation of raw materials, manufacturing efficiencies, and a growing contribution from higher-value products. These measures have enabled the company to enhance margins while maintaining competitiveness in domestic and international markets.
India Ratings also highlighted Carraro India’s strengthened balance sheet and improved financial flexibility. Net leverage reduced to 0.3 times, while interest coverage improved to 11.2 times, reflecting stronger earnings and disciplined financial management. The company’s healthy operating cash flows and prudent capital allocation continue to support future investments without compromising financial stability.
The improved rating outlook underscores Carraro India’s ability to maintain consistent business performance despite evolving market conditions. Its emphasis on technology-driven manufacturing, operational excellence, and product innovation has helped strengthen relationships with original equipment manufacturers while supporting long-term growth opportunities in India and overseas.
The upgrade also reflects confidence in the company’s liquidity position, supported by efficient working capital management and sustained cash generation. These strengths provide Carraro India with the financial capacity to pursue strategic investments, expand manufacturing capabilities, and respond to changing customer requirements across the off-highway equipment industry.
The latest rating action reinforces Carraro India’s position as a financially resilient and operationally strong manufacturer serving the agricultural and construction equipment sectors. With continued investment in advanced driveline technologies, localisation, and manufacturing excellence, the company remains well positioned to support industry growth while maintaining a balanced financial profile and creating long-term value for customers, investors, and other stakeholders.
