HPE Unveils Groundbreaking AI-Native and Hybrid Cloud Solutions at Discover Barcelona 2023

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) revealed its latest AI-native and hybrid cloud solutions at the HPE Discover Barcelona 2023. These new offerings integrate HPE’s expertise in hybrid cloud, supercomputing, and AI/ML software to empower organizations to become AI-centric. The comprehensive, AI-native architecture is designed to streamline the entire AI lifecycle, from model development to deployment.

Antonio Neri, President and CEO of HPE, highlighted the emergence of generative AI and the growing demands of data and computation. He emphasized that HPE’s solutions are geared towards enabling organizations to securely develop AI models using their proprietary data, leveraging the power of hybrid cloud and AI.

The new offerings include AI-native architecture and hybrid cloud solutions tailored for GenAI workloads. These solutions feature a data-first pipeline, AI lifecycle management software, and high-performance interconnects, among other innovative aspects. The focus is on running AI anywhere from edge to cloud with data protection and built-in supercomputing capabilities.

In partnership with NVIDIA, HPE has co-engineered a full-stack GenAI solution, simplifying the development and deployment of generative AI infrastructure. This collaboration aims to enable enterprises of any size to customize foundation models using private data and deploy applications across various environments.

HPE’s recent announcement of a supercomputing solution for generative AI underlines its commitment to accelerating AI model training and development. This turnkey solution is designed to improve the time to value for large enterprises, research institutions, and government organizations.

The HPE GreenLake for File Storage has received new enhancements to support demanding AI workloads. Additionally, HPE Machine Learning Development Environment Software is now available as a managed service, offering a cloud-managed experience for AI/ML model training.

HPE Ezmeral Software’s new enhancements further simplify enterprise data, analytics, and AI across hybrid multi-cloud environments. This includes an optimized hybrid data lakehouse, deep integration with HPE Machine Learning Development Environment Software, and expanded third-party integrations.

As part of the HPE GreenLake Flex Solution, the new enterprise computing solution for GenAI includes HPE GreenLake for File Storage with additional software for comprehensive AI model and data source protection.

HPE Services now provides a broad range of consulting services, workforce training, and deployment solutions to support every step of an enterprise’s AI journey. This includes discovery to implementation services for GenAI and LLM, operational model development, and hybrid cloud data strategies.

In an innovative partnership, Taiga Cloud, a Northern Data Group company, has teamed up with HPE to power cloud services using HPE Cray XD supercomputers. Taiga Cloud’s access to a vast array of NVIDIA GPUs, connected using NVIDIA BlueField DPUs and the NVIDIA Quantum-2 InfiniBand platform, is set to revolutionize generative AI cloud services.

Karl Havard, Managing Director of Taiga Cloud, praised the partnership with HPE, highlighting the need for a sustainable approach and new thinking in cloud computing for generative AI workloads. The collaboration reflects a commitment to sustainability, democratizing AI, and bringing innovative ideas to life.
