Hindustan Zinc, one of India’s leading zinc producers, showcased its product range for the automotive sector at the ACMA Raw Material Conclave & Exhibition in New Delhi on July 3. The company displayed its offerings of zinc, lead, silver, and value-added products, emphasizing zinc galvanization and zinc die-casting alloys.
Zinc galvanization provides significant fuel and emission savings by enhancing corrosion resistance in lightweight steel bodies, leading to durable and long-lasting vehicles. Lead is crucial for automotive batteries and components, while silver improves conductivity and efficiency in automotive electronics.
Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, stated, “Zinc is a sustainable solution for tomorrow’s automotive challenges. We’re committed to collaborating with Indian automakers to drive India’s mobility future forward.”
Hindustan Zinc’s alloys, like HZDA 3 and HZDA 5, are ideal for casting complex components, offering higher strength and corrosion resistance. At the event, Vijay Murthy, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, highlighted zinc’s role in creating stronger and sustainable auto bodies. Hindustan Zinc’s products are certified for quality by the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), ISO, BIS, and REACH for exports to Europe.
