Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has reported its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, posting its strongest quarterly growth in the last 13 quarters, driven by broad-based demand across its business segments. The company recorded an underlying sales growth (USG) of 10%, with turnover rising to ₹17,184 crore during the quarter.

HUL reported EBITDA of ₹3,947 crore, an increase of 8% over the corresponding period last year, while maintaining an EBITDA margin of 23%, in line with its stated guidance despite a challenging operating environment. Profit after tax (PAT) before exceptional items increased 9% year-on-year to ₹2,731 crore. Reported PAT stood at ₹2,680 crore, down 2% compared to the previous year, primarily due to a one-time tax credit recorded in the corresponding quarter of FY2025.

The Home Care business emerged as the strongest-performing segment, delivering 14% underlying sales growth, its highest in three years. Growth was supported by strong demand across fabric wash and household care categories, with both bars and powders maintaining momentum while liquid detergents continued to expand at a double-digit pace. Vim Liquids also registered robust double-digit growth, supported by initiatives aimed at increasing consumer penetration.

The Beauty & Wellbeing portfolio recorded 12% underlying sales growth, led by premium skin care and hair care. Premium Hair Care and emerging product formats contributed to double-digit growth, while Premium Skin Care continued to outperform. The Minimalist brand sustained double-digit growth with improving momentum during the quarter. HUL also expanded its innovation pipeline with the launch of a sugar-free variant under Liquid I.V. and the introduction of Vaseline Gluta Hya Smoothening Body Lotion.

Personal Care posted 4% underlying sales growth despite continued inflation in palm oil prices. Premium beauty soaps recorded competitive double-digit volume growth, while the Bodywash category strengthened its leadership with sustained double-digit growth. Oral Care delivered mid-single digit growth, supported by premium offerings under Closeup and Pepsodent. During the quarter, Lux introduced an upgraded Bodywash range featuring enhanced skincare benefits and refreshed packaging.

The Foods business registered 7% underlying sales growth, driven by continued strength in Lifestyle Nutrition and Coffee. Coffee maintained double-digit volume growth, supported by ready-to-drink products and Bru Gold. Boost crossed the ₹1,000 crore annual turnover milestone, while Horlicks Superfoods continued to gain consumer acceptance. Packaged Foods also delivered healthy growth, led by Unilever Food Solutions, mayonnaise and international sauces, alongside premium product launches across the Bru, Red Label and Kissan portfolios.

Commenting on the performance, Priya Nair, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Hindustan Unilever Limited, said the Indian economy remained resilient despite global geopolitical uncertainties, supported by proactive fiscal and monetary measures. She noted that stable consumer demand, combined with the strength of HUL’s brands, portfolio competitiveness and disciplined execution, enabled the company to achieve its highest quarterly growth in more than three years. She added that continued investments in market development, channel expansion and portfolio transformation are strengthening the business, while the company remains focused on delivering sustainable, volume-led growth in the quarters ahead.
